“white privilege”...wait. What?

I have been hearing that people are going around saying that some of us Caucasians should use our “white privilege” for good things like helping to stop racism or prejudice. What I want to know is, what exactly IS white privilege AND where do I get some of that for myself?

If this is some magical, mystical elitist group to belong to then why the hell am I not a party to this? If being a Caucasian person, especially with fair features, gets a person life on easy street then…er..uuuhh…easy street? Isn't that down between skid row & the fifth ring of hell?

People lately seem to be under this misconception that poverty is prejudice and only attacks “minorities.” My newsflash would be we are all in the same boat. I am your neighbor, you stood in front of me at the $.99 store buying produce just like I did, you and I bumped into each other on the subway.

Hopefully soon enough when you ride the subway or walk miles home that you will start to look around at those who pass you by or sit next to you on the bus. They are just as tired, lonely, hungry, soul searching for happiness…just.like.me.

Today I did wonder if there was a reason I have ended up traveling down my current path. Maybe I am here so that others become aware that poverty has no boundaries, that Government will attack ALL of its citizens and drive them into destitution. My mouth tends to get extremely political at times and I am surprised to see how many walk around who know nothing about what is going on in Congress let alone just in our own state, plus they are not registered.

We cannot make a difference unless we all stand together on ALL humanitarian issues. We cannot pick and choose what we think is right or wrong. FREEDOM is right. Freedom to think how we want, live how we want. We are not meant to be enslaved into nonexistence. If having White Privilege gets a voice for the people then I guess I can take that role. First task is to get everyone unregistered as a Republican or Democratic…same party, same agenda.

Mob Mentality is'a Brewin'

Lately I have been paying pretty close attention to how people speak in their everyday lives. When they respond to a person who may not agree with their own opinion it appears as if they verbally attack that person up one side and down the other. If you meander around the internet and read articles then scroll down to comments, or maybe pay attention to the social media comments you make on your own and how people will respond to it. What scares me the most out of this is the mob mentality that starts to ensue after one single person has a difference of opinion, every other person will in turn attack you verbally to feel like they belong to something.

We old school people call that "playing Devils Advocate," where you may not agree with the different opinion you are giving but it needs to be said to spark debating. Without being able to debate differences we fail to evolve, our job is to evolve and we have not done that in the last 40 or 50 years. We had technology a long time ago but our Government, out of FEAR, kept it from us and now we have fallen behind in the evolutionary process.

When, as people, did we become so afraid to disagree with another or to feel free enough to speak our own mind and act like ourselves? If you are the quirky, oddball in your group of friends start paying close attention to your "friends" reaction to what you do or say. If they are making excuse, apologizing for you or you catch a few funny faces...it's time to GET OUT of that group and find people who truly are accepting of you. No one is "normal" in any sense of the word but people being so desperate to fit in will keep going along with the masses even though they are miserable humans. To those beings I say, don't bring that scheisse over here!

It is only a small step from ganging up on someone online and being in the prime opportunity to follow along with a mob mentality and force someone with violence to agree with you before they end up seriously injured or dead. Is this really where minds have gone?  This reminds me of seeing those that claim to be religious who use violence as an excuse to FORCE another to believe in their own religious, or political, agenda. God did not put humans here to beat each other into submission. Let us not forget that when you point your finger at one person three accusatory fingers point back at our ‘self.’

"... I am that, I am…"

Maybe instead we need to look internally at why we feel it is okay to be miserable and oppressive to others. Could part of this reason be that we are entering a new way of life where the younger generations are teaching the older generations that being different and treated badly because of it is NOT okay? Can we all collectively agree that we have all been oppressed in one form or another, no one greater or smaller, from those in power and that we are sick of it? Can we all get together into a group and change our negative patterns into those of a positive nature?

Maybe the saying, “Every cloud has a Silver Lining “should be brought back into every conversation we have. Help those around you see the positive message or potential for one so maybe we can get people to stop living in their misery…because that makes others miserable.
